The HAKITEC roof, designed to be quickly assembled to provide robust weather protection and covering medium to large construction sites. This uses very few components; making it simple to build by a scaffolder is supposed to be a safe zone for the available space on site.
Erecting structures safely and securely is made possible with an innovative roll–out method. Platforms are used to provide secure and guarded access, eliminating the need for scaffolders to work on roof trusses. This method ensures safe installation of the structure.
The HAKITEC system can be tailored using strong aluminium beams which are 750mm deep, allowing roofing to span across and cover with a roof pitch of either 15 or 22.5 degrees. It can also be used to construct polygonal roofing.
The beams have been designed to provide extremely strong structures with large spans and have long-service life, for projects that continue over extended periods.
The HAKITEC roofing system is exactly as long-lasting as other types of roofing. To prevent leaks, it is comprised of thick, reinforced Low-Density Polythene that is cut to size and firmly fastened to reinforced guardrail frames.
This hard–wearing sheeting is extremely easy to fit, coming with aluminium tracks and pre–cut to fixed lengths. Extra pockets can be added to increase the flexibility of the sheeting.
Track clamp saddles and spring pins are used to attach sheeting to lattice beams tailored to specific lengths. Track joint plates and seals are then used to connect the sheeting together. A ridge roller is fitted at the ridge to make it easier to fit and stretch the sheeting. A 24m sheet can then be used on structures with widths from 18–24m multiple times.
This particular range uses the ‘hook on’ locking catching system, meaning the prefabricated components are not at risk of displacement which also means that it can be re-utilised in other roofing structures.
For smaller projects, London Hire recommends downsizing to the HAKITEC 450 Roof system. This system offers the same great benefits as the 750 system, but uses 450mm Aluminium beams for a more compact solution.
