The grade-II listed building, built in 1906, has a rich history, including being the site of David Bowie’s wedding to Angie in 1970 and being featured in the 2019 film “Bohemian Rhapsody”. It’s also reported to have an underground nuclear fallout shelter from the Cold War era. The multi-million-pound refurbishment project will transform the building into a 73,000 square foot co-working office space, featuring a cafe/bar, communal spaces both indoor and outdoor, and a hotel themed around David Bowie.
