The latest data shows self-employed tradespeople are benefiting from their hard work and determination. Their average weekly pay of £920 in March 2021, as reported by Hudson Contract, is 57% higher than the median weekly pay for full-time employees, which is £586 according to official statistics. The East of England saw the highest earnings at £1,016, a 5% increase from February. All regions saw earnings growth, except Wales. Many self-employed tradespeople continued to work during lockdowns to support the housing and infrastructure needs of Britain.
