For Todd, who has Downs Syndrome, it was a dream come true when he was quickly hired by his local Scaffolding Company after they saw him impress customers and colleagues with his professionalism and enthusiasm. Todd has Down Syndrome, but that hasn’t stopped him for being crowned Britain’s top apprentice after his trial led to him being hired by his boss.
Many people and including his manager have praised him for his “boundless energy” and dedication this week when thousands of people voted him the UK’s top apprentice in a public vote.
“It feels great to win the award.” Said Todd delightedly. Todd, from Swindon, was one of 26 construction workers to pick up a gong at the On the Tools Awards 2019.
