The weight capacity of heavy–duty scaffolding frames is an important factor to consider in the construction industry. Each frame is capable of holding an average of 40,300 Ibs. This ensures that the scaffolding is safe and secure for whatever project it is being used for.
At Scaffolding Direct London, all of our scaffolding and scaffold components can easily support their own weight and up to four times the intended load. Our frames are incredibly strong, able to hold up to 40,300 Ibs! The maximum intended load that can be applied to each of our sets is 10,075 Ibs, with the maximum load limit on each leg reaching 2,518 Ibs. That’s a lot of weight that our scaffolding can support!
We conducted tests on three sets of our heavy–duty scaffolding frames in accordance with ANSI/SSFI SC100–5/05. Each test was done by stacking the frames on top of each other without standard pins and spring clips.
Screw jacks were added to the base of a 20–foot–2–inch–tall scaffolding tower and the weight was gradually increased from 5,000 to 10,000 Ibs until the tower ultimately failed.
These types of scaffolding frames are manufactured in the highest standards and specifications using higher quality and more expensive steel to ensure the maximum load limit.
Many of our competitors use recycle steel, which unfortunately contains rust and weakens the scaffolding frame. Because of the large amount of weight our scaffolding frames can hold, it is therefore considered to be heavy-duty with that it can support in excess of the 75 ibs/sq. Ft per span.
We use only the highest quality materials in our scaffolding structures that meet the strictest industry standards and undergo regular checks to ensure their strength and integrity. As the leading scaffolding provider in the London area, you can trust us to provide you with a safe and secure scaffolding solution.
We take immense pride in every job we do and strive to ensure that it is completed to the highest standard of quality. To ensure the success of each project, we start by visiting the site and developing a scaffolding design that is suitable for the job.
The wellbeing and safety of our employees, as well as all other personnel on the premises, is our top priority. We strictly adhere to all safety regulations and standards when carrying out scaffolding work.
