Scaffolding Direct London has been granted a £100,000 boost from Business Loans through the London Engine Investment Fund, as part of the Coronavirus Business Interruption Scheme. This funding will help to save jobs and support the scaffolding industry in the wake of the Coronavirus Lockdown.
The UK lockdown posed a major challenge to the scaffolding industry, with some projects being put on hold or postponed and a resulting serious impact on cashflow. However, the Government‘s announcement of plans to reopen construction sites with safety measures, including Social Distancing and hand sanitiser stations, provided a glimmer of hope.
Scaffolding Direct London is currently assessing their protocols and implementing extra precautions to guarantee a safe environment for their employees when they resume their duties.
Scaffolding companies have been consistently engaging with their customers and vendors, and anticipate that their demand will return to pre–COVID–19 levels as existing contracts are fulfilled and new construction projects become available.
